Garmin - Nuvi 750

The Garmin 750 is rightly considered to be at the top of the advanced GPS device models. Featuring superior navigation tools like route planning and more detailed maps, the Nuvi 750 also has an FM transmitter along with many other travel planning tools.

Features

The Nuvi 750 has wide display screen at 4.3 inches and has an internal antenna thereby giving it a much sleeker look than the similarly designed 600 series that have flip-up antennas. Navigational tools include the ability to just enter a destination so that the device can plan your travel. You will be given instructions by voice, if you so desire, so that you can concentrate completely on the road. With millions of points of interest and detailed street maps, the Nuvi 750 can make your travel a lot easier and more comfortable. One of the most important features in the new Nuvi 750 is the route-planning feature – just enter the start, destination and the locations that you would like to visit. You could select these from your list of ‘Favorites’, places already visited, by entering intersections and through many other options. Now you could either decide on the route yourself or just use the ‘Optimally Reorder Points’ feature. You will have a route that is optimally planned by the device.

The Nuvi 750 also has a ‘Where am I’ feature that lets you quickly locate where you are at the touch of a button. It enables you to have a view of your exact location even providing you with your co-ordinates as also the nearest intersection and the nearest address. In addition, if you would like any more information you can access certain special categories of points of interest, which can help you in your hour of need, like nearby gas stations, hospitals, police stations and so on. Another nice touch to this feature is the added ability of remembering where the vehicle was parked last. As soon as the device is taken off its stand, it will remember the location of that spot, making it much easier for you to find your way back to the vehicle. What better guidance can you ask for when you park your car in crowded parking lots like those in malls or stadiums.

The other travel tools that the Nuvi 750 comes with are an MP3 player as well as an audio book player. Other optional plug and play softwares allow you to look for language translation and include an extensive travel guide.

The Garmin Nuvi 750 resembles the new design of the 200 series but carries advanced navigation features. This includes an integrated antenna that allows the model to acquire a slimmer, sleeker look than the 600 series, which carried a flip up patch antenna. The Nuvi 760/770 also come with a traffic receiver and include Bluetooth, though they are on the pricier side. If you are looking for a top-end GPS model and do not really need real-time traffic reports or Bluetooth technology, the Nuvi 750 may be the right fit for you.
