The latest HotFix satellite technology allows the device to identify your location that much quicker and hence plans your journey that much faster. This technology works very well with the FM traffic receiver that comes built in the Nuvi 275T. As you start on your travel, you can stay updated about the traffic situation on your route. There can be times when there are serious traffic build-ups or some road construction holds up traffic. Either way, you will be immediately informed of it and you can take a decision if you want to keep going that way or would like to plan a new route steering clear of the trouble spots.

While cellphones have become almost ubiquitous now, you can still have difficulty using them when you are driving. However, if you would like true hands-free calling try the Nuvi 275T which integrates the Bluetooth technology and also has an in-built speaker and microphone. By hooking up the device with a similar Bluetooth powered cellphone, you can easily make or answer calls on your GPS device, while keeping your eyes on the road and your hands on the steering wheel.

All the three Nuvi products – Nuvi 265T, Nuvi 265WT and the Nuvi 275T come with an FM receiver. In addition they can all be upgraded to have the MSN Direct Receiver. This receiver offers not just real-time traffic news but other services as well such as real-time updates on weather, sports, local news and the stock market. You can also use MSN Direct to know what movie is playing at what theater or more importantly, which gas station is giving out the best fuel prices.
