The Garmin Nuvi series have been very popular amongst the various GPS devices. Performance Features

The Nuvi 270 comes preinstalled with maps of many countries that include the United States and Canada along with 30 other European countries. If you need directions on how to reach a specific place, you can use the Nuvi 270 in many ways – you can either enter the particular address if you know it or you could choose a destination from a list of favorite destinations. You could also select from a list of ‘Points of Interest’ as contained in the device or just ask the device for directions to a previously traveled location. It is also possible that you do not need directions to your destination, in which case you can use the Nuvi 270 to just track your movements as you drive or walk, by selecting the View Map.

The power of the device can be seen in the way it can generate directions to go to your destination, in terms of the shortest time taken to reach there or the least distance. In fact, you can even set up the device to avoid certain roads or road types like busy highways or toll roads. Most importantly, you can use the Nuvi 270, whatever your mode of transportation – car, bus, truck, bicycle or even on foot. This device provides voice-guided and text-guided directions along with two-dimensional or three-dimensional maps. An interesting feature is the trip information page that provides real-time information about your current speed, the time spent so far on the trip, the directions and so on.
