The Garmin Nuvi 250 is considered as an entry-level navigation device but contains all the advanced navigational tools that are to be found in top GPS devices. Some models even come with voice guidance, where the device speaks the name of the street and you can continue to keep your eyes on the road, while driving towards it.
The Nuvi 250 also comes with the high-sensitive GPS receivers to be found in most top-end Nuvi devices and which delivers more accurate and consistent readings of your locations. Termed as a basic navigation device, the Nuvi 370 nevertheless comes with a built-in travel kit. This includes essential travel tools like currency and measurement converters, world clock, calculator and so on.
The Garmin Nuvi 250 saves on the costs by including many features in optional SD cards. For example, the Nuvi 270 comes preloaded with detailed maps of all of North America and Europe but has the highest price of the series. Next comes the Nuvi 250 that covers the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. In comparison, the Nuvi 200 carries only maps for the lower 48 states of the United States, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. If you would like maps that are not preloaded, you can get them through optional SD cards containing the maps.
